Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and his career so far

Vanja Milinkovic-Savic has gone from strength to strength since joining Torino from Lechia Gdansk in July 2017. The Ourense native could not establish a foothold in the first-team squad at Manchester United due to work permit issues. So, his short-lived stint with the struggling Premier League giants.

Meanwhile, Milinkovic-Savic did not hit the ground running at Torino, embarking on multiple loan spells before establishing a foothold in the senior setup at the Serie A club. However, the 28-year-old Serbian international has not looked back since returning to Torino from a loan stint with Standard Liege.

The Serb has turned out over 150 times thus far for Torino while keeping 52 clean sheets and conceding 63 goals. Meanwhile, Milinkovic-Savic’s progress at the Serie A club has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. Leeds United will be among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the summer transfer window.

Premier League move on the horizon?

Leeds United’s interest in Vanja Milinkovic-Savic is understandable. The Whites are scouring the market for a goalkeeper this summer after Illan Meslier’s frustrating performances in the 2024/25 season. So, Leeds United will aim to sign a top-class goalkeeper, with several candidates, including Nick Pope, emerging as targets.

However, Milinkovic-Savic is also a viable target for the newly promoted Premier League club, and they might have a decent chance of landing him. The 28-year-old Serb may feel he has unfinished business in the Premier League after failing to turn out for Manchester United.
