Aston Villa, Everton, Fulham, Leeds United vying for Ismael Saibari

Aston Villa, Everton, Fulham, and Leeds United are reportedly keen on signing 24-year-old Moroccan international Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Aston Villa, Everton, Fulham, and Leeds United are interested in Ismael Saibari. The four Premier League clubs are keen on reinforcing their first-team squads by signing a versatile midfielder next year. So, the 24-year-old PSV Eindhoven mainstay has emerged as a target for the quartet and other top-flight outfits.

Who is Ismael Saibari?

Ismael Saibari has been one of the best midfielders in the Eredivisie since breaking into the first-team squad at PSV Eindhoven. Born in Spain, the 24-year-old spent most of his formative years in Belgium and was eligible to represent the Red Devils in international football. However, he has picked Morocco as his national side, making 17 appearances for the African nation.

The Moroccan international has been hot off the blocks in the 2025/26 season, amassing ten goals and one assist in 15 appearances thus far. Meanwhile, Saibari’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs, particularly from the Premier League. Aston Villa, Everton, Fulham, and Leeds United are among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.

A man in demand

Aston Villa will likely dip into the market for a midfielder next year, even though Unai Emery has a stacked midfield unit. Additionally, Youri Tielemans and John McGinn are on the cusp of signing new contracts with the West Midlands club. Nevertheless, Saibari has emerged as a target for Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, Everton’s interest in Ismael Saibari makes sense. While the Merseyside club signed Merlin Rohl in the summer transfer window, Idrissa Gueye is in the twilight of his career. So, Saibari is an option worth considering for Everton. As for Leeds United, Daniel Farke wants more options in the middle of the park, even though the West Yorkshire outfit signed several players in the summer transfer window.

Several candidates, including Issouf Sissokho, have thus emerged on Leeds United’s wishlist, with Saibari also a viable target. As for Fulham, the West London club parted ways with Andreas Pereira in the summer transfer window, and Marco Silva can do with another midfielder next year.

Meanwhile, apart from these Premier League clubs, Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham United are also keen on signing Saibari. So, it will be interesting to see if the 24-year-old Moroccan international moves to England in the coming months.
