Former Brighton and Hove Albion FC technical director David Weir has joined RC Strasbourg Alsace to take up the vacant role of Sporting Director, the Ligue 1 side announced on Friday. The former Scotland international left the Seagulls in September. Weir joined Brighton and Hove Albion as loans manager in 2018. He then took over from Manchester United-bound Dan Ashworth to take up the role of Technical Director. Weir will reunite in Alsace with Liam Rosenior, who spent a year with Brighton as assistant manager between 2018 and 2019.
