Ibrahima Sissoko (28) is all set to complete his €2m move to FC Nantes, according to a report from L’Équipe. Talks had begun back in December but had been put on standby while Mali’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaign was ongoing.
An agreement was almost reached at the end of December but there was a holdup in the deal, due to the player being away on international duty. However, the former RC Strasbourg Alsace (2018-2024) midfielder is now all set to complete his move back to France.
An agreement in the region of €2m is being concluded with his club, Bochum. He is under contract with the German club until the summer of 2027, but his departure is now imminent. He will join Rémy Cabella in making the move to the Beaujoire this month.
With Les Canaris mired in a relegation battle once again this season, further recruits are expected before the closure of the transfer window.
