Official | Himad Abdelli completes switch to Marseille from Angers

Himad Abdelli has completed a permanent move to Olympique de Marseille from Angers SCO, as announced by the Southern club on deadline day.

The 26-year-old signed a five-year contract with OM after arriving in Marseille earlier on Monday. According to RMC Sport, the transfer is worth around €3m excluding bonuses.

Speaking to La Provence following his arrival, Abdelli expressed his delight at completing the move: “I’m very happy, even if it’s happened on the final day of the transfer window. I’m ready to give everything for this club. OM was my first choice and I’m proud to be here.”

The Algerian international joined Angers from Le Havre AC in 2022 and went on to make 119 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and registering six assists. After a slow start, Abdelli established himself as a key figure in midfield and was named club captain during the 2024–25 season under Alexandre Dujeux.
