Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembélé (28) is a doubt to face AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night, L’Équipe understands.
Dembélé was already complaining about discomfort in the wake of PSG’s 3-1 defeat against Stade Rennais on Friday night. The Ballon d’Or winner took part in a training session at Monaco’s stadium, the Stade Louis II, on Monday night, ahead of the encounter, however, he could be seen complaining about discomfort in his leg.
The Frenchman was seemingly testing out the injury, trying a number of sprints and speaking with PSG’s medical staff. Dembélé’s comments following PSG’s defeat to Rennes had made the player the focus of attention ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League encounter. He called out his teammates for being too “individualistic”, which incited a strong response from Luis Enrique, who not only said that all post-match comments are “worthless” but that “no player is above the club”.
Fabián Ruiz and Senny Mayulu are also out of Tuesday’s encounter in the Principality.
