According to Caught Offside, Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid are vying for Andrea Cambiaso ahead of the summer. Juventus could sell for the right price, which could allow them to fuel their own transfer plans, with a fee of more than €60 million being mentioned.
Cambiaso has produced some important displays for Juventus over the years and is currently seen as one of their key stars. The Bianconeri do not see the need to offload him, although they have come close to negotiating a transfer for the versatile full-back.
Cambiaso earns €2.4 million a year at Juventus, which is well within their wage structure. However, a move away to one of the top clubs in England or Spain could help him land a more lucrative deal and further his career, and he is currently tied down until 2029.
The full-back can play on either flank, as well as in midfield in a variety of roles, which fits the notion of a complete modern-day full-back. Manchester City were keen to sign him in January 2025, and were linked again in the summer, as they could once again explore a move for the €2.4 million-a-year Serie A wide player.
Real Madrid are also interested, but does not view the position as a priority, given they have established players on either flank. However, a back-up option such as Álvaro Carreras could be considered, with Ferland Mendy potentially set to be moved on in the near future.
Liverpool are the latest to enter the race for Cambiaso and could explore a move for the defender. The Merseysiders are preparing for Andrew Robertson’s exit on a free transfer in the summer, with competition for Milos Kerkez potentially prioritised in the close season.
Overall, Juventus will consider offers if proposals exceed the €60 million mark, as the report states they rejected approaches of around €50 million. Whether those interested teams are ready to pay that much remains to be seen, especially when they already have first-choice starters in Cambiaso’s position.
