Ousmane Dembélé makes PSG return ahead of Chelsea clash

Ousmane Dembélé (28) came off injured within 30 minutes of Paris Saint-Germain’s 3-2 win over AS Monaco on 17th February and has not played since.

The Ballon d’Or winner has been struggling with injury and fitness issues throughout the campaign, and the day before the match against the Principality club, he was struggling with a minor issue. But he started regardless and would go on to sustain an injury that has sidelined him ever since.

However, Le Parisien understands that Dembélé will now make a timely return. For the third time in the space of less than a month, PSG will face Monaco. The pair go head-to-head in a Ligue 1 fixture at the Parc des Princes on Friday night. Dembélé has trained as normal and is now expected to be in the matchday squad to face the Principality club.

It is a boost for the Frenchman’s hopes of facing Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League in less than one week’s time.
