Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has traveled to London to begin laying the groundwork for the club’s summer transfer strategy.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Ausilio’s trip involves a series of high-level meetings with Premier League counterparts and representatives, alongside attending Champions League fixtures.
A primary objective of the mission is to establish initial contact for Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, who has emerged as a top candidate to bolster the Nerazzurri’s options between the posts.
Vicario is not the only target on the radar, as Inter are also monitoring Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martínez. The World Cup winner is highly regarded by the Inter management, though any move for either keeper would represent a significant financial undertaking. As Ausilio continues his London stay, the club is signaling a clear intent to target established Premier League player to strengthen the squad for the upcoming campaign.
Yann Sommer’s contract runs out in the summer and the Nerazzurri want a readymade replacement.
