According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Georges Mikautadze is the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The Lilywhites are eager to reinforce their offensive unit by signing a striker in the summer transfer window. So, the 25-year-old Villarreal centre-forward has emerged as a target for the North London outfit.
Several other clubs are also keen on signing the Lyon native in the summer transfer window. However, the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League winners are in pole position to sign Mikautadze from Villarreal, and they are preparing a bid worth €60 million to secure his services in the coming months.
Georges Mikautadze has made significant progress since joining Villarreal from Lyon last summer. The 26-year-old striker spent his formative years in France, passing through the academies at FC Gerland, Lyon, and AS Saint-Priest before graduating from the youth division at FC Metz.
The player rose in prominence during his spell with FC Metz and the loan stint with Ajax before making his mark in the 2024/25 season. Mikautadze has been solid thus far for Villarreal, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists in 36 appearances.
