Bayern Munich considering Alphonso Davies sale, Manchester United lead race

Manchester United could be handed a boost in their pursuit of Alphonso Davies, with Bayern Munich pondering a sale.

According to Fichajes, Alphonso Davies could be out of Bayern Munich’s plans, with the Bundesliga giants pondering the idea of a sale. Manchester United will be boosted by the prospect, with the Premier League giants keen on chasing the Canadian international’s signature.

A year ago, Alphonso Davies was heading towards leaving Bayern Munich on a free transfer as his contract was close to expiring. The idea excited some of the big clubs on the continent, as the likes of Real Madrid were keen to take him on a free transfer, as they were already making plans to bring in Trent Alexander-Arnold on a similar deal.

However, Bayern Munich managed to convince Davies to sign a new deal and commit until 2030, but things have gone in a different direction for the 25-year-old Bayern Munich speedster. Davies has since suffered a cruciate ligament tear, and since his return in December 2025, the Canadian international has suffered a muscle tear and a separate hamstring issue.

Bayern Munich are worried about his long-term fitness owing to the string of injuries, which has prompted the idea of a sale. The Bavarians could consider a sizeable offer from suitors and could open their doors to be tested with proposals.

There will be a few interested teams, but it is Manchester United who have been considering the 25-year-old Bayern Munich speedster for some time now. The news of Bayern Munich’s stance will please those in charge of the Red Devils, as a summer offer could be on the cards.

Alphonso Davies to Manchester United?

Manchester United are widely expected to chase a starter-level left-back in the summer to add competition for the role. Luke Shaw’s fitness remains a big source of concern despite his improvement in that regard and playing a consistent number of games.

A few names are being linked, but should someone like Davies become available, they will certainly chase the idea. It remains to be seen whether Bayern Munich are realistically considering a sale, and if so, at what cost, as the price point will be key in any movement for the Canadian international.
