According to a report from TEAMtalk, Mikey Moore, who is currently on loan at Rangers, is loving life at Ibrox and would love to continue at the Scottish club for another season. He would definitely stay at the Premiership club if the decision were his alone, but the final call entirely depends on his parent club, Tottenham Hotspur.
Moore has been a part of the Tottenham setup since his childhood days. He went up the ranks at some pace and has only gone from strength to strength of late. The teenager winger got promoted to the first team in the summer of 2024.
While everyone at the club rates him very highly, he only had limited game time last season. The 18-year-old was involved in a total of 19 matches for Spurs. He racked up over 800 minutes and even contributed towards three goals.
It certainly was an impressive debut campaign, where he featured on both flanks, but the North London club were keen on ensuring he could have more game time this time around. As a result, they ended up sending him out on loan to Rangers last summer.
During his stint in Scottish football, the teenager has been involved in 40 matches and has contributed towards nine goals. He has racked up close to 2,300 minutes of first-team action and has featured everywhere in attack.
He has been a revelation since moving to Glasgow last summer. The 18-year-old has thrived under manager Danny Rohl. Following Rangers’ 4-1 win over Aberdeen on Saturday, the English youth international opened up on his future.
Moore said that he has loved every second of his time in Scotland. He described Rangers as a club that has a special place in his heart. People close to the player have indicated that if an opportunity to stay at Ibrox emerges, Moore would love to extend his loan spell for another season. However, the final call depends on Tottenham.
With the club likely to appoint a new manager ahead of next season, the final call on Moore’s future may rest with the incoming boss. For now, though, the player has certainly given Rangers hope of a potential reunion next season.
Danny Rohl is keen to keep him and has already urged the club to open talks with Spurs over a possible extension. Much will depend on which league the North London club are playing in next season. If they suffer relegation, Moore is likely to be reintegrated into the first team, but survival could pave the way for another loan spell.
