Arsenal, Tottenham vying for Brahim Diaz, price tag revealed

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing 26-year-old Moroccan international Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Sports Boom, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in 26-year-old Real Madrid playmaker Brahim Diaz. The two Premier League clubs are eager to reinforce their offensive units by signing a versatile attacker in the upcoming transfer window.

The latest report has revealed that the Malaga-born playmaker is no longer satisfied with his “super sub” role at Real Madrid, and a summer departure may be on the cards. Meanwhile, Real Madrid will demand around €40-45 million to part ways with him in the coming months.

Brahim Diaz and his Real Madrid frustrations

Brahim Diaz has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Real Madrid from Manchester City in January 2019. While the Moroccan international has made significant progress in the last six and a half years, he has yet to establish himself as an undisputed first-choice starter for Los Blancos.

The 26-year-old found a stable footing during his loan spell with AC Milan, spending three years with the Rossoneri. Since then, Diaz has been in and out of the starting lineup at Real Madrid, and he has managed only 1,009 minutes of game time in 31 appearances thus far in the 2025/26 season. Nevertheless, his stock is high, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur among the prospective suitors vying for his signature this year.

Will Brahim Diaz return to the Premier League this year?

Brahim Diaz has been on Arsenal’s wishlist for a long time. The continued interest is surprising, as Mikel Arteta has two players to reprise the role Diaz primarily essays. However, Martin Odegaard has not been at his best for two seasons, and recent reports have linked him with a move away from the Emirates. Additionally, Eberechi Eze has been inconsistent in his debut season with the North London club.

As for Tottenham, the Lilywhites also hold a long-standing interest in the Real Madrid playmaker. However, it is unclear how the Spanish-born playmaker will fit into the scheme of things unless the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League winners sell at least one of Xavi Simons and James Maddison. Nevertheless, Tottenham will attempt to sign the former Manchester City prospect this summer.

Real Madrid’s asking price of €40-45 million makes Diaz an appealing target, as he has the potential to become a long-term asset through the middle. With the 26-year-old Moroccan international contemplating a summer exit, it will not be surprising to see him return to the Premier League.
