Rino Gattuso considering resignation after Italy disaster

Italy will not play at the FIFA World Cup for the third consecutive edition in a row and question marks are emerging about Rino Gattuso’s future.

The Italian, after the defeat to Bosnia, made it clear that he is proud of the performance from the players. He also apologised for the loss, as a lot rode on it, considering the last two editions of the World Cup.

Now, La Gazzetta dello Sport – via Calciomercato, report that Gattuso can consider resigning from his position as manager.

His current deal with Italy runs out in June but he is thinking about leaving beforehand. He will have conversations with Gigi Buffon about it and he will also speak to his family before making a final, concrete decision.

It is believed that Gattuso isn’t someone who is quick admit defeat in battles but this is a decision which he will make after multiple considerations in the next few weeks.
