Juventus Trailing in Most of Their Ongoing Negotiations

Juventus CEO Damien Comolli vowed that they’ll have an ambitious summer, with or without the UEFA Champions League, and that the top players are attracted by their project. The Bianconeri are attempting to set up several free agent additions, but aren’t close to securing any of them at the moment.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Old Lady and Milan are keen on Robert Lewandowski, but Barcelona could still offer him a renewal. Saudi or MLS teams would eventually offer him a lot more than the two Serie A giants. He’ll have to take a giant pay cut to move to Italy. The duo is also eyeing Leon Goretzka, but he demands €7M per season and a conspicuous signing bonus.

Juventus have been pursuing Bernardo Silva, but he makes €10M per year and would rather play in Spain or in a city with a warmer climate than in Manchester. The Blaugrana would be his top landing spot, but the interest might not be completely reciprocated.

The Bianconeri are behind the Premier League heavyweights in the Marcos Senesi race. He requests €5M wages. They see him at most as a Lloyd Kelly replacement and not a centerpiece of their future defense. In that sense, Luciano Spalletti is pushing for Antonio Rudiger. He’d gladly stay put if Real Madrid offered him a new deal. He’s earning €10M annually as well, so he would have to accept a lower salary to transfer to Turin.

Our Take on Juventus

Onboarding Bosman targets is a pricey affair even without the fee. They’ll have to make some sacrifices on personal terms, but landing a couple of them is paramount to having more resources for some other acquisitions.
