PSG’s Vitinha to miss Bayern Munich tie?

Vitinha (26) was withdrawn in the first-half of Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 defeat against Olympique Lyonnais. The Portugal international suffered an injury to his right heel, as confirmed by an official press release on Monday, sustained as he landed when challenging Endrick for a high ball.

PSG, confirming the injury, provided few details, but confirmed the nature of the injury. They added that he would undergo treatment over the course of the next few days before another evaluation at the end of the week. L’Equipe understands that Vitinha has been ruled out of the game against FC Nantes on Wednesday, whilst it is also very likely that he won’t play against SCO Angers on Saturday either.

That makes him a bit touch-and-go for the UEFA Champions League semi-final first-leg against Bayern Munich on Tuesday 28th April. However, neither the player nor the club believe that Vitinha’s participation in that game is in peril, L’Équipe adds.
