Official | Jakob Breum joins Saint-Étienne from Go Ahead Eagles

AS Saint-Étienne have confirmed the signing of Jakob Breum (22). The Denmark U21 international (six caps) has joined from Eredivisie side Go Ahead Eagles. 

Having failed to return to Ligue 1 last season, Les Verts will have another crack at exiting France’s second tier next season. There are fears that, this time, Lucas Stassin and Zuriko Davitashvili may leave, however, the club are still showing ambition in the transfer window through the signing of Breum for a reported fee of €3m. 

Breum will wear the No.10 shirt and has signed a deal that will run until the summer of 2030. He was part of a Go Ahead Eagles side that played in the UEFA Europa League last season. He joined the Dutch side back in 2023 and went on to make 105 appearances. In that time, he scored 20 goals and registered 17 assists.

He is Saint-Étienne’s second recruit of the summer, following the arrival of Sohaib Nair from EA Guingamp.
