It has been a busy two days for Cercle Brugge. The side have added three new players to the squad ahead of the start of the Belgian Pro League in just over a weeks time. Alongside Lukas Mondele from Francs Borains and Lucas Michal on loan from AS Monaco, the side have also brought in Joël Ndala from Manchester City.
Ndala came through the Manchester City academy spent time on loan with Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday last season. The winger played 19 games for Hull City, scoring twice. He then joined Sheffield Wednesday and played eight games as the side suffered relegation from the second tier of English football.
Mondele knows the city of Brugge well, having come through the academy of Cercle Brugge’s city rivals Club Brugge. Mondele spent time in Italian football with Modena before returning to Belgium last summer, signing for Francs Borains in the second tier of Belgian football. The 22-year-old played 32 games for the side.
Michal will provide Cercle Brugge with another striker. The 21-year-old has played 18 senior games for Monaco and spent the second half of the 2025/2026 season on loan at Metz, where he played eight games. He has yet to score a senior goal, but Cercle Brugge fans will be hoping that changes this season.
