Goalkeeper Zion Suzuki has made the switch from Serie A side Parma to Aston Villa.
Parma officially announced the departure of Zion Suzuki earlier today through its X channel. The Japanese shot-stopper signed for Premier League outfit Aston Villa on a contract until the summer of 2031.
According to an update by Nico Schira, Aston Villa paid a transfer fee of €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses to seal the permanent signing of Suzuki. Get Italian Football News reported on this development, in which Villa matched PSG’s valuation of €35 million for the player, after the French giants pulled themselves out of the race.
Suzuki’s arrival at the Birmingham-based side will affect Emiliano Martinez’s position, and Juventus have been following the Argentine for quite some time now in hopes of a possible transfer. Another option for the Bianconeri remains Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario. However, right now, Martinez seems like a more achievable target for Juventus.
