Paris Saint-Germain have provided an update on the injury sustained by Achraf Hakimi (27) during Sunday night’s win over Stade Brestois.
The Morocco international was withdrawn in the first-half of the 1-0 win last night. He was subsequently replaced by Fabián Ruiz, with Warren Zaire-Emery dropping into the right-back slot. Asked about the injury sustained by Hakimi post-match, Luis Enrique could not provide details.
However, on Monday afternoon, PSG provided a medical report. It revealed that Hakimi had sustained a minor thigh injury. No period of absence was detailed, however, it stated that the defender would spend the next two days undergoing treatment before further assessment.
As things stand, the Moroccan, who has featured in all of Les Parisiens’ seven games in all competitions this season, is a doubt for Sunday’s Classique against Olympique de Marseille. That is PSG’s final game before the upcoming international break.
