According to Oracio Accomando, Juventus are still in talks to sign Randal Kolo Muani on loan dof r the remainder of the season. There is encouragement for the Bianconeri in the chase as Tottenham could allow a departure as they are working on a deal to sign Jean-Philippe Mateta from Crystal Palace.
The striker market is expected to see a lot of movement in the final days of the January window, as Tottenham could be at the centre of it. Spurs are angling for a late move for a new striker before the deadline, with Crystal Palace star Jean-Philippe Mateta their main target.
Tottenham were given an opening for Mateta a few days ago, but they have not acted very seriously on it. In fact, Nottingham Forest are the ones who have made an offer so far for the 28-year-old Premier League forward, as the race remains open as things stand.
However, it appears Tottenham are working on a deal for Mateta, which may open the gates for Randal Kolo Muani to make a late departure. The only issue here is that Crystal Palace are seeking a replacement for the Frenchman, and only then will they allow a departure.
As for Mateta, Palace are demanding £40 million, which may be something Spurs might be willing to pay for the striker. Any deal will depend on Palace’s willingness to sell, as they are closing in on a move for Jorgen Strand Larsen as Mateta’s replacement.
Should Tottenham end up signing Mateta, Randal Kolo Muani could leave the club from his loan spell and re-join Juventus on a temporary agreement. The Italian giants explored a move for the Frenchman a few days prior, and although they have strained relations with Paris Saint-Germain, a deal could be on the cards.
Juventus are looking for a striker and were close to signing Kolo Muani permanently last summer before a move fell through. They will land the Serie A-linked striker on another loan, with a possible option to be triggered at the end of the season.
