According to Caught Offside, Tottenham, Crystal Palace and West Ham are the teams interested in signing Antonio Rudiger in the summer. The German international could ponder a return to the English top flight should he leave Real Madrid when his contract expires in the summer.
Antonio Rudiger was a tremendous presence for Chelsea, but he soon joined Real Madrid once his contract at Stamford Bridge expired. At the Bernabeu, he has been instrumental in his role in helping the team to another Champions League, but injuries have mired his progress since.
He has had some fitness issues this season, too, as the defender has missed a chunk of the games. However, when fit, he does get to start games regularly, although his time at Real Madrid could soon come to an end.
There are no indications of a new deal, and with Real Madrid actively looking to sign central defenders, Rudiger might be on his way once his contract expires in the summer. He could see the Premier League as a viable destination and ponder a return to England, where at least three London-based teams are keen.
Tottenham are in the market for an experienced defender and could view Rudiuger as a key signing for their cause. However, for such a high-profile arrival, Spurs might need Champions League football, but more importantly, survive the relegation ordeal currently bestowed upon them.
Apart from Tottenham, there are two more London-based sides interested in the experienced Real Madrid star, as Crystal Palace and West Ham are keen alongwith Spurs. Whether those teams stand a chance remains to be seen, as much will depend on the contract proposals they make. Palace may still have a shout, but with the Hammers currently battling relegation, they would need the top-flight status at the very least.
As for Rudiger, he seems designed to leave Real Madrid, but could have more options than just English clubs. Back in January, he might have turned down a move to Saudi Arabia, although the Middle Eastern clubs could return once he becomes a free agent and might be able to offer lucrative terms to take the experienced Real Madrid star to Saudi Arabia.
