Inter CEO Beppe Marotta confirms interest in Aleksandar Stankovic

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has confirmed that the club is closely monitoring the rapid development of Aleksandar Stankovic as he continues to shine in Belgium with Club Brugge.

The young midfielder, son of Nerazzurri legend Dejan Stankovic, has become a key figure for the Belgian side, prompting questions about Inter’s long-term strategy for the player. The Italian champions secured a buy-back clause as part of the deal that took him to Brugge, which remains valid for both the 2026 and 2027 transfer windows.

Speaking to Sky Sport, as relayed by TMW, Marotta admitted that the club is keeping a watchful eye on his progress: “Are we keeping an eye on Club Brugge tonight? He is doing very well, we have a buy-back clause and we didn’t put it there by chance, but because we identified in him a growth and future potential.”

Despite the impressive performances, Marotta preached patience regarding a potential return to the San Siro, noting that the club has time to make a final decision. He added: “We still have 2 years ahead before it expires, it is still all premature, we will evaluate what to do. The good thing is that the player is practically ours, he is having a great experience.”

Stankovic has also attracted interest from Premier League clubs, which should alarm Inter about bringing him back quickly.
