Milan Could Dangle a Starlet to Lure Fiorentina Star

Milan will most likely address the no.9 position again in the summer, after signing Niclas Fullkrug on loan and the Jean-Philippe Mateta deal fell through due to issues with his medicals, and Moise Kean is climbing the ladder among their potential targets, TuttoSport informs.

The Rossoneri have tested the waters, and Massimiliano Allegri is keen on a reunion. He already coached the Italian international at Juventus, but the marksman didn’t have great seasons in a secondary role. Instead, he was stellar in 2024/2025, while he hasn’t confirmed himself in the current one amid the Fiorentina woes, bagging 8 goals in 23 Serie A tilts.

While Milan may be interested, Kean re-negotiated his contract last year, raising his release clause to €62M. It’s valid only in the first two weeks of July. Fiorentina might not be willing to do business unless the suitors activate it. The 25-year-old makes €4.5M annually, which wouldn’t be a substantial issue.

The Rossoneri will try to propose different solutions, such as a €30/35M offer plus Francesco Camarda, perhaps securing a future buyback clause. The youngster hasn’t had a great first Serie A season and will spend months on the shelf due to a shoulder injury.

Our Take on Milan and Kean

It’s conspicuous that Dusan Vlahovic has seemingly exited their radar. Perhaps they learned more about his entourage’s requests after digging into it. He’ll be super pricey, especially salary-wise, even though he’ll be a free agent. It’s not outlandish to think Fiorentina may cash in on their star to foot a rebuild after a terrible campaign and accept diverse kinds of proposals. Instead, triggering the release clause is a non-starter for Italian sides.
