Bayern Munich might have a star-studded squad, but they are constantly on the lookout for young players with massive potential to further bolster their ranks. They have been keeping tabs on Tottenham’s Archie Gray, who is considered to be one of the best young midfielders in England.
According to a report from Fichajes, the German giants are interested in acquiring his services. They want to poach the teenager from the North London club this summer.
Gray came up the ranks at Leeds United. He got promoted to their first team in the summer of 2023, and on the back of an impressive season with the senior side, he made the move to Spurs in 2024.
He had already made quite a name for himself coming up the ranks, and having further enhanced his reputation with the first team, some of the biggest clubs in Europe were after his signature. But Tottenham were quick off the blocks and managed to beat the competition.
He has gone from strength to strength since joining the North London club and has established himself as an important part of their plans. Thanks to his impressive performances, Bayern Munich are now keen on signing the teenager.
The Bundesliga giants seek more quality in midfield, and they believe Gray could help their cause both in the short and long run. They want to bring in a versatile star with a high work rate, and the English youth international certainly fits the bill. Not only can he feature anywhere in midfield, but the 19-year-old is also equally effective as a right-back.
Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on him, but Bayern are gearing up to submit an offer at the start of the summer as they look to beat the Spanish giants in the race.
However, Tottenham have no intentions of negotiating his departure. With his contract running until 2030, Spurs are in complete control of his future. They currently value him at around €63 million, and only a record-breaking offer could change their stance.
