Beppe Marotta rules out Arsenal’s move for Francesco Pio Esposito

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta addressed the future of Francesco Pio Esposito during an interview with Mediaset, as reported by TMW, ahead of the Nerazzurri’s Coppa Italia fixture against Como. The executive responded to earlier reports from Gazzetta dello Sport suggesting that Arsenal had made inquiries for the young striker.

Notably, Marotta dismissed the rumors of an approach from the Premier League side. Furthermore, he emphasized that the 20-year-old remains a cornerstone of the club’s long-term strategy, making it clear that Inter are not interested in a sale during the current window.

Indeed, the CEO was explicit in his assessment of the player’s value to the club. Marotta told Mediaset:

“Arsenal haven’t asked us, Inter don’t want to sell him, and they’re not a club that trades players. He’s a treasure of ours, having developed in the youth academy. A possible transfer will be discussed again in the very distant future.”

Consequently, Inter have effectively closed the door on any potential departure for the Italian youth international. While interest from top European clubs continues to grow, the management in Milan remains focused on integrating Esposito further into the first-team setup rather than entertaining offers from abroad.
