Tottenham set Dominic Solanke price amid Newcastle United links

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly demand around £50 million to sell 28-year-old English striker Dominic Solanke in this summer amid his links with Newcastle United.

According to a report by Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur striker Dominic Solanke is the subject of interest from Newcastle United. The Magpies are scouring the market for a striker ahead of the summer amid the struggles of Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa.

The latest update has brought more clarity on the story, as Tottenham Hotspur will demand £50 million to part ways with the Englishman this summer. Interestingly, the report suggests that the North London club’s valuation “could ward off his suitors” in the coming months.

Dominic Solanke and his Tottenham troubles

Dominic Solanke has hit a brick wall since joining Tottenham Hotspur from Bournemouth in a deal worth £65 million, including add-ons, in August 2024. The 28-year-old arrived at the North London club amid hype and fanfare surrounding him after an exceptional 2023/24 campaign with the Cherries, having been one of the top scorers in the Premier League.

The English international has also struggled with fitness issues, and he has managed only 938 minutes of game time in 17 appearances thus far in the 2025/26 season, scoring six goals. With Solanke’s fitness issues not easing in the 2025/26 season, his long-term future at the North London club is uncertain. However, the player’s stock remains high, with Newcastle United among the prospective suitors vying for his signature.

Move across the Premier League on the cards?

Newcastle United’s interest in Dominic Solanke makes sense. The Magpies are combing the market for a striker, even though they signed Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa last summer. However, both players have been dreadful, only showing flashes of brilliance while struggling to be consistent in the final third. Additionally, recent reports have linked Woltemade with a move away from Newcastle United.

Several candidates, including Luis Suarez, have thus emerged on Newcastle United’s wishlist, with Solanke also a viable target.
