Kosta Nedeljković (20) earned his first Serbia call-up since September and played seven minutes against Spain as the defender works his way back to fitness following a knee injury, but the right-back is unlikely to play any future role at RB Leipzig.
As reported by Bild, Leipzig will not exercise their €10m purchase option on Nedeljković, who joined the Saxony club on loan from Aston Villa in February 2025, after falling behind Ridle Baku and Benjamin Henrichs in the pecking order.
Playing 10 out of a possible 14 games in the first part of his loan, Nedeljković impressed but Leipzig didn’t exercise their purchase option, instead extended the player’s loan by a further year. But with just five Bundesliga appearances this season, the Serbian – who almost joined Fiorentina in January – doesn’t feature in Leipzig’s future plans.
