With contract extension talks with Ousmane Dembélé very much on hold, Paris Saint-Germain have set their priorities for the coming weeks and months.
A variety of factors have resulted in talks with Dembélé being put on hold. They are not expected to resume until after the FIFA World Cup in the summer, according to a report from L’Équipe. As a result, PSG’s attention is now shifting towards Bradley Barcola and Senny Mayulu.
The former’s contract runs until the summer of 2028 and the latter’s until the summer of 2027. Locking in these two players is now the priority for the reigning European champions, as per L’Équipe. In previous months, there had been reports of difficulties in talks over Barcola’s renewal, although those difficulties were thought to pertain to his role in the team. The former Olympique Lyonnais winger has been a key player in recent months. There had also been reports of difficulties in talks over Mayulu’s renewal. PSG are now looking to make breakthroughs.
