Liverpool eyeing summer move for Randal Kolo Muani

Liverpool are interested in acquiring the services of PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani, who has failed to make the most out of his loan spell at Tottenham.

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool are plotting a raid on PSG to sign their French forward Randal Kolo Muani. With Mohamed Salah leaving the club, the Merseyside club are making plans to replace him, and they believe the Juventus attacking target could help their cause with his versatility.

Kolo Muani made quite a name for himself while playing for Eintracht Frankfurt, and it earned him a big-money move (€75 million plus €15 million in bonuses) to PSG in the summer of 2023. Unfortunately, the move to Paris didn’t quite work out for the 32-cap French international.

In search of regular minutes and an opportunity to revive his career, he joined Juventus on a short loan at the start of 2025. Kolo Muani had an impressive spell at the Turin-based club, and they were keen on signing him on a permanent basis.

However, they couldn’t strike a deal with PSG because of their high demands. In the end, Tottenham secured his services on a season-long loan deal last summer. While Spurs had big hopes for the 27-year-old, he hasn’t lived up to the expectations.

In his 36 outings across competition for the North London club, the French international has only managed five goals and four assists. Only two of those goal contributions have come in the Premier League. Despite his struggles, he could still end up staying in England, as Liverpool are plotting a raid on PSG for him.

Liverpool want Kolo Muani in their squad

The Reds are looking for more quality in the final third, as they plan for life without Salah. While Kolo Muani prefers playing down the middle, he is capable enough to feature on the flank. His versatility is one of the reasons why the Merseyside club are after him.

Apart from that, his dominance in duels, ball retention, and composure in front of goal make him an ideal fit for Liverpool. Things might not have worked out for him at Spurs, but the Reds are optimistic that he will make it work at Anfield.

He is expected to be available for around €35 million, and he currently earns around €7 million per year. The finances certainly won’t be a problem for the Reds. But, they might face stiff competition from Juventus, who remain keen on his signature, and even the player has expressed his desire to return to Turin, which could cause problems for Arne Slot’s team.
