Marseille loanee Arthur Vermeeren linked with Tottenham move

Arthur Vermeeren’s (21) future does not lie at Olympique de Marseille, it would seem, however, and he could be on the move once again come the summer, according to a report from Bild.

The Belgian arrived on loan from RB Leipzig at the start of the season and initially impressed under former manager Roberto De Zerbi. However, as the season has progressed, his influence has waned. Under Habib Beye, he has fallen out of favour.

Marseille unlikely to trigger Vermeeren’s buy option

OM had the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season for a fee of €20m. As things stand, it is highly unlikely that that option will be triggered. A return to Germany is therefore on the cards. But he may not stay at Leipzig.

Bild understands that Vermeeren is attracting interest from Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur. Both clubs are currently following the Belgian’s situation.
