Cercle Brugge’s Nazinho (22) is set to complete a switch to AS Monaco, as per a report from Sacha Tavolieri.
Monaco, despite the season only just ending, are in the market for a left-back, with Caio Henrique potentially leaving the club, leaving Kassoum Ouattara as the only recognised full-back, with stand-in option Krépin Diatta also leaving the club.
Nazinho emerged as a priority target, and talks were facilitated due to Cercle Brugge’s ownership situation. Both clubs are owned by Dmitry Rybolovlev, allowing the Principality club to steal a march on the competition.
Tavolieri understands that Nazinho will move to Monaco in a deal worth €5m. The Portuguese youth international is expected in the Principality next week in order to undergo a medical ahead of completing the switch.
L’Équipe have added that the left-back is expected to sign a four-year deal with the Ligue 1 club, who could yet qualify for next season’s UEFA Europa Conference League, should RC Lens beat OGC Nice in the Coupe de France final tonight.
