PSG are set to receive a double injury boost ahead of Saturday’s Champions League final against Arsenal. Luis Enrique’s Les Parisiens will try to retain Europe premier club’s competition title in Budapest against Mikel Arteta’s newly-crowned Premier League champions. The former FC Barcelona head coach expects to rely on a fully-fit squad for Saturday’s showpiece in Hungary, although Ousmane Dembélé and Achraf Hakimi were injury concerns.
The Ballon d’Or winner pulled out of PSG’s last Ligue 1 game against Paris FC nine days ago with muscle fatigue. Dembélé previously said that he was certain to face Arsenal. As for Hakimi, the Moroccan international right-back sustained a thigh injury in the first leg of the Champions semi-finals against Bayern Munich. It was reported that Hakimi would not be fit enough for Saturday.
RMC Sport now reports this Tuesday that both Dembélé and Hakimi will take part in today’s training session at Campus PSG at 5pm. The outlet adds that PSG’s players and staff will fly off to Hungary on Friday morning.
