Saint-Étienne predicted XI v OGC Nice: Djylian N’Guessan out, Lucas Stassin to start

Djylian N’Guessan is a long-term absentee for AS Saint-Étienne, Philippe Montanier has confirmed, and will therefore miss Friday night’s Ligue 1 promotion/ relegation play-off decider at the Allianz Riviera.

It is all to play for going into the second leg of the play-off, which will take place behind closed doors, after the match in Saint-Étienne ended in a goalless draw. The match is taking place behind closed doors due to a pitch invasion from the Nice fans at the end of the draw to FC Metz on the final day of the regular season.

Montanier provided an update on the fitness of Les Verts on Thursday and confirmed N’Guessan’s absence. However, he will be able to count on New Zealand international Ben Old.
