RC Strasbourg Alsace’s Abdoul Ouattara (20) is set to sign for Ipswich Town, according to reports in L’Équipe.
Having come through the ranks at the Alsatian club’s academy, the Ivory Coast Under-23 international is set to sign a five-year contract with the Tractor Boys for a fee of €20m.
In Suffolk, however, Ouattara will feel right at home, as he will be reunited with his former manager Gary O’Neil – who was appointed this summer to manage the recently promoted Premier League side – as well as his team-mate Julio Enciso (22), who is also set to join – and be reunited with – Portman Road.
Having been thrown in at the deep end during the 2024-25 season, Ouattara used the 2025-26 campaign to establish himself as an increasingly important player for Racing, making 43 appearances in all competitions (four goals, one assist).
Following Valentin Barco (22), Emmanuel Emegha (23), Rabby Nzingoula (20), Junior Mwanga (23), Stefan Bajic (24), Saïdou Sow (24), Óscar Perea (20) and Karl-Johan Johnsson (36), Strasbourg are set to see two more of their players leave Alsace in the coming hours.
