La Liga giants Atlético Madrid have this week tied up an agreement to sign an up-and-coming member of the attacking ranks at RCD Mallorca.
The player primed to take his talents to Spain’s capital for the seasons ahead? Marc Domenech.
Domenech, for his part, is a 19-year-old frontman who chiefly operates through the middle, but is also more than capable of taking to the pitch from the left wing.
The Spaniard has long been tipped for a bright future at the top level, piquing the attentions of a number of the leading clubs in his home country. Following Mallorca’s relegation to La Liga 2, speculation surrounding a potential summer Son Moix departure for Domenech therefore quickly mounted.
And as alluded to above, this week, one of the youngster’s many suitors have beaten out the competition to his signature. As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:
‘Atlético Madrid have reached verbal agreement to sign 19 year old talent Marc Domenech from Mallorca. Club to club deal done on loan with buy option clause. Final formal steps to follow then time for medical tests in Madrid.’
