Ben Chilwell (29) has agreed to return to the Premier League and join Crystal Palace from Strasbourg before the end of the summer transfer window, according to a report from Foot Mercato. The former England international is keen on the prospect of rejoining the Croydon outfit after previously spending time there on loan whilst he was contracted to Chelsea.
Despite the player agreeing to make the return to his homeland, Palace face a race against the clock to complete the transfer. With just less than one hour remaining of the summer transfer window, the English club will be rushing to get all the required paperwork and checks completed to be able to submit a dealsheet before the 11pm deadline which has been set in the Premier League.
Strasbourg are yet to agree a fee with the Premier League and will be hoping to negotiate a transfer which suits them with the Alsatian outfit left with very little time to sign a replacement before the end of the window.
