Official | Former AC Milan and Watford striker M’Baye Niang joins Dunkerque

USL Dunkerque, currently playing in Ligue 2, officially announced the signing of M’Baye Niang (31) this Saturday.

A free agent since leaving Turkish club Gençlerbirliği SK – for whom he made 27 appearances, scoring six goals and providing two assists last season – the Senegalese centre-forward has signed a one-season contract with an option for a further season with the northern side.

A product of the SM Caen academy, where he made his professional debut, Niang has enjoyed a distinguished career and is set to represent his sixteenth club – including AC Milan, Watford and Wydad AC – as he approaches his 32nd birthday.

He is an experienced and high-quality addition to USLD, which was already bolstered by the arrival of 2018 World Cup winner Steven Nzonzi (37) a few weeks ago. Having played for Montpellier HSC, Stade Rennais, Girondins de Bordeaux and AJ Auxerre, Niang has made over 160 appearances and scored around 40 goals in Ligue 1.
