Lens predicted XI v Lyon: Thorgan Hazard to be omitted?

Yannick Cahuzac may opt to omit Thorgan Hazard from the matchday squad as he prepares to make his bow as manager of RC Lens at the Stade Bollaert on Friday night.

Cahuzac made his debut as manager of Les Sang et Or in a slender defeat to AS Monaco just before the international break, but is now preparing for his first home game.

For Olympique Lyonnais’ visit, Cahuzac may take the bold choice of dropping Hazard from the matchday squad entirely, L’Équipe understands. His absence would not be injury-related. That is not the case for Maik Nawrocki and Abdallah Sima. The former got injured before the international break and is out for the season, whilst the latter is out until November having got injured while on international duty.

There is, however, good news for Les Sang et Or in the form of a return for Yacine Titraoui, although he is now expected to start against Lyon as Ligue 1 football returns.
