Olympique Lyonnais will be without key defender for the visit to face RC Lens on Friday night as Ligue 1 football makes its return.
Niakhaté sustained a muscular injury while away on international duty with Senegal and will therefore miss the game against Les Sang et Or. Mohamed Ouédraogo is the other major absentee for Lyon. He sustained a major knee injury in training this week and is expected to miss the majority of the season. The game may come a little early for Nicolás Tagliafico, too. The Argentine has returned late from international duty and so it is Abner who is expected to start at left back for Paulo Fonseca’s side this evening.
Pavel Sulc, meanwhile, is expected to start in the No.10 role, meaning that there may be no space in the line-up for Keito Nakamura.
Dominik Greif; Abner, Ruben Kluivert, Felix Bacher, Zachary Akethame; Tyler Morton, Corentin Tolisso, Mads Bidstrup, Pavel Sulc; Lois Openda, Ernest Nuamah. (L’Éq)
