Key reasons why Davide Frattesi stayed at Inter

Despite a lack of consistent playing time and recurring transfer speculation, Davide Frattesi remains at Inter but he is still available for sale.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there are four reasons why the midfielder has stayed in Milan despite interest from multiple clubs – mainly Nottingham Forest.

Chief among them is the club standing firm in their valuation for the midfielder. They constantly wanted a fee of €30 million. This left many suitors reeling as they were unable to pay the amount.

Secondly, any offers that Inter received were actually far from that valuation. If not that, they only received initial loan deals and Inter were only keen on a permanent sale.

Beyond that, the idea of playing for a relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest never truly appealed to Frattesi. They came closest but they came in as the last resort only.

Besides, the Italian wanted to ply his trade at a high level. On top of that, Inter never really found a replacement, making them keep Frattesi.
