Franck Haise is poised to replace Habib Beye as Rennes head coach, according to a report this Wednesday from Canal+. Les Rouge et Noir have reportedly reached a breakthrough in their talks with the former RC Lens and OGC Nice manager, who was a free agent after leaving Les Aiglons in December.
Haise would make a return to Rennes after coaching the club’s youth teams for six years, between 2006 and 2012. The 54-year-old head coach is expected to sign an 18-month deal with the sixth-placed Ligue 1 team, who have parted ways with Habib Beye on Monday.
Haise is not expected to be in the Roazhon Park dugout for Friday’s home Ligue 1 game against league leaders PSG. Sébastien Tambouret, Rennes’ reserve team head coach will lead the Bretons against Luis Enrique’s team.
