Ajax defender Nick Verschuren is set for a move this summer. According to VI, the defender will leave Ajax and join Sparta Rotterdam on a permanent basis. Verschuren leaves Ajax without making a senior appearance for the Amsterdam club, having spent time with Jong Ajax and then been loaned out to FC Volendam last season. The side were relegated from the Eredivisie, but Verschuren gets to remain in the top flight after swapping Ajax for Sparta Rotterdam.
Verschuren will earn Ajax a reasonable fee and will sign a deal in Rotterdam until 2030. The central defender played 49 games for Jong Ajax in the second tier before spending last season on loan at Volendam. While with the then top flight side, the defender played 37 games as the side suffered relegation from the top flight after only just making their return.
Ajax are set to be very active this summer as they look to revamp the side and try and return to being competitive in the Eredivisie title race.
