RC Lens are reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Hertha BSC over the transfer of Michaël Cuisance (26), according to Foot Mercato.
Under contract with the Berlin club until 2029, the former Olympique de Marseille player would thus return to the French league and sign for Les Sang et Or on a three-year deal – also running until 2029 – for a fee of €5 million.
This is an enticing challenge for the 26-year-old, who, by joining RCL, would have the opportunity to return to the Champions League, which he experienced during his spells at OM and Bayern Munich. For Lens, signing Cuisance would be part of their strategy to turn risks into successes, as has been the case this season with Odsonne Édouard (28), Florian Thauvin (33) and Allan Saint-Maximin (29).
Having enjoyed a solid season with Hertha (four goals and six assists in 35 matches across all competitions), the Strasbourg-born player could use a potential move to the north to remind everyone why he was once regarded as one of French football’s promising young talents.
