Caio Henrique (28) has left AS Monaco to join Eredivisie side Ajax Amsterdam, it was confirmed on Tuesday.
Henrique joined Monaco from Atletico Madrid back in the summer of 2020 for a fee of €8m. The full-back, who briefly had a stint as an attacking midfielder under Philippe Clement, racked up 211 appearances for the Principality club. In that time, he scored three goals and registered 41 assists.
The 28-year-old also became a Brazil international during his time with Les Monégasques. However, he will feature in a new league next season. He has departed for a reported fee of €10m plus an extra €4m in add-ons. He has signed a four-year deal with the Dutch giants.
Monaco’s other left-back, Kassoum Ouattara, is also being linked with a move away from the Principality club, whilst Portuguese full-back Nazinho looks set to join from partner club Cercle Brugge.
