Everton FC are reported to have reached an agreement with AS Monaco over the transfer of Folarin Balogun (25), according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Under contract with the Monegasques until 2028, the striker – who is finalising the last personal details this evening – is expected to return to England in a deal valued at €45m. Bonuses totalling €5m, as well as a percentage of any future transfer fee, are also said to have been negotiated by AS Monaco.
A product of the Arsenal academy, Balogun has made the most of his time in France – first at Stade de Reims, then at Monaco – to burst onto the European scene. Having made 91 appearances in all competitions for ASM since his arrival in the summer of 2023, the New York City native has proved decisive on 44 occasions, scoring 31 goals and providing 13 assists.
A US international, he has earned 31 caps for the USMNT. Having featured at the World Cup this summer, he scored three goals and provided one assist.
