Vinicius Junior set for showdown talks with Real Madrid amid Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United links

Vinicius Junior is set for serious showdown talks with Real Madrid, who are hopeful the Brazilian will extend his deal amid heavy Premier League interest.

According to Football Insider, Vinicius Junior is set for important showdown talks with Real Madrid over a new deal at the club. The Spanish giants are hopeful of renewing the Brazilian’s contract at the Bernabeu, but face pressure as interest mounts in the background, with Premier League giants keen.

Vinicius Junior is a big topic of discussion in Spain and across Europe as his contractual situation rumbles on. At the back end of last year, there were reports that the Brazilian had second thoughts about renewing his deal at the club, but the situation has not evolved since.

At the recently concluded El Clasico, and amid the chaos surrounding the fixture, Vinícius made comments about ‘ leaving the team’ which have not resonated well within the corridors of the Bernabeu. There are further doubts about his future at the club amid reports stating that his position is no longer untouchable.

Hence, there’s a real danger that Florentino Perez would consider selling him to the highest bidder as he would enter the final year of his deal next year. However, Vinicius is set for showdown talks as the club are hopeful of renewing the temperamental Real Madrid star’s deal.

There’s obvious pressure on Real Madrid about the temperamental star amid big interest from elsewhere. Saudi sides are keen and will be able to splash big on the attacker, while Premier League giants such as Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are all keen, as Vinicius might be open to an adventure in England.

Premier League teams circling

Manchester United will be ready to pay big if shown a pathway to sign the Brazilian superstar, as they continue to look for their next marquee signing. The same could be said about Manchester City, who are interested in the Brazilian if they can get a deal in place.

Liverpool are also keen, and one might bet they might be the least favourite of all the interested teams in the mix. However, the Merseysiders have shown their capacity to pay big for the big-name players in the market and may not back away if given the chance to sign the temperamental Real Madrid star.
