RC Lens have announced the signing of Hertha BSC midfielder Michaël Cuisance (26). The Frenchman is the first summer signing for Dino Toppmöller’s Les Sang et Or, who will feature in the UEFA Champions League group stage next season following their second-place finish in Ligue 1.
Under contract with the Berlin club until 2029, the former Olympique de Marseille player is making a return in France’s first tier. Cuisance has put pen to paper on a four-year deal for RC Lens – running until 2030 – for a €5m transfer fee.
The 26-year-old is expected to fill the void left by Adrien Thomasson, who has left Lens to join Ligue 1 rivals upon the expiry of his contract. Cuisance will wear the No. 27 jersey for Lens.
