Olympique Lyonnais are in desperate need of a centre-forward. Endrick (19) is in desperate need of game time. It is a logical move, and one that may be edging closer to completion, according to a report from L’Équipe.
Lyon hold an interest in Endrick due to their lack of attacking options. The club were obliged to sell Georges Mikautadze in the final hours of the transfer window, but could not designate funds to replace him. As a result, OL have Martín Satriano and Rachid Ghezzal in their ranks. Neither has impressed with Paulo Fonseca, often opting to start without a recognised striker.
Fonseca, L’Équipe understands, has now spoken with their No.1 January target, Endrick, even convincing the Brazilian of a loan move to the Groupama Stadium. Real Madrid are open to this possibility, however, the La Liga giants demand compensation to allow their player to leave on loan. This is currently the subject of talks between the two clubs, although there is no rush, as Endrick has already made a move to Lyon a priority, and the transfer window does not open for another two months.
