AC Milan, Villarreal vying for Ismaila Sarr

AC Milan and Villarreal are keen to explore a move for Ismaila Sarr, with Crystal Palace set to demand a significant price.

According to Fichajes, Ismaila Sarr is a player on the radars of AC Milan and Villarreal ahead of the summer. The Crystal Palace attacker has proven himself with top-notch performances for the South London club over the last few years, as the continental sides are eager to explore a move in the summer.

Sarr has been a mainstay in this Crystal Palace side ever since he moved from Marseille. The Senegalese attacker, who plays as part of the two-man line behind the central striker, often gets plenty of freedom to express his game, and for the most part, he has done exceptionally well.

Sarr was instrumental in Palace’s historic FA Cup victory last season, and this term he has been a regular contributor, with 17 goals and assists across all competitions. The Eagles are protected by a long-term contract which only expires in 2029, giving them a strong position should interest materialise in the market.

Everton are thought to be keen on signing the attacker, as continental clubs also show significant interest in the Senegalese star. AC Milan and Villarreal are reportedly willing to explore a move for the Palace star, in the hope of luring him away from the Premier League side.

Crystal Palace, for their part, are reportedly seeking €55-60 million as a minimum to even consider his exit, given he remains a key part of their plans both in the present and future. It remains to be seen whether AC Milan or Villarreal has the capacity to meet the asking price, which could prove a difficult hurdle in this particular pursuit.

Ismaila Sarr to leave Crystal Palace?

Crystal Palace are not overly keen to lose one of their main attackers, although they might consider a sale if they receive offers within the required range. AC Milan may have the better financial capacity over Villarreal to get a deal in place, but only negotiations between all parties could provide a clearer picture.

Both AC Milan and Villarreal have the potential to offer Champions League football, which might be the biggest lure in this race for Sarr. It will be interesting to see whether the Senegalese attacker chooses to take on a new challenge, although any deal would need to meet Palace’s asking price, and that could prove the major stumbling block for both continental sides.
